Initial Inquiry

It seems to me that the protagonist in this novel is Joseph K. and the antagonist is the court. After reading the initial inquiry, i feel for Joseph. His intentions were to show up at the court on time. How is he supposed to know what time? who to meet? where to go? if no one told him. Imagine you are told one day that you have to go to a new school and all they tell you is what the school is called, they give you no other information? do you expect yourself to show up exactly on time and no where to go if none of that information was given to you? it is impossible.
I do find it annoying how the audience in this trial are the officers. I have to agree with what graham said, it is a complete mockery.
